  Co-Founder and CEO James Bywater announced today the launch of Native Directions "Catch A Dream Campaign". This campaign is a dynamic educational presentation for 5th and 6th graders utilizing Native American wisdom to help todays youth "SAY NO TO DRUGS, AND SAY YES TO DREAMS". This program is designed to help youth achieve their dreams. Please watch for more details in the upcoming Catch A Dream webpage.

Native Directions attends the 55th Annual Cherokee National Holiday and Pow Wow, Labor Day Weekend 2007 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. This weekend included: Education, A State of the Tribe Address from the Chief, Many Games, A lot of Food, Fierce Competitions, and the Pow Wow. As many of you may know, the Pow Wow is not native to the Cherokee Tribe but was initiated to welcome other tribes from throughout the US. This celebration, and welcome Pow Wow is held on the Cherokee National Holiday Weekend. Please Take a look at some of our photos from the Pow Wow included on the photos page.

  After a lengthy search, Native Directions is proud to announce that we now have two new Grant Writers working with us in our efforts to bring more services to our clients.

  Native Directions Inc. has finally been officially approved by the United States IRS as a 501(c)3 Non-profit Public Charity. This means that we may now accept tax exempt donations, and that we may now seek out grants designed to help non-profit organizations.

  Judith Ann Bywater, Sister to the Founder, passed away today. Judy was survived by her daughter Emily, Parents Ron and Dovie, Brothers Lee, Rod, and Jim, as well as many other friends and family. Judy passed away from a reoccurance of cancer. Please feel free to make a donation to the American Cancer Society http://www.cancer.org
